This yoga practice begins with a gentle flow asana warming the body and allowing the energy to begin to flow smoothly throughout the bodies tissues. We'll transition into our yin yoga practice focusing on stretching and nourishing the bodies connective tissues - ligaments, joints, bones and our deep fascia system to release chronically held tension and increase range of motion.
The Yin postures are practiced on the floor and held for 3 to 5 minutes using props to support the poses and the body. Yin yoga teaches us how to really listen to the body, we do not force the body into a pose, we gradually move as the body tells us its ready to release. Yin brings long periods of time in uncomfortable positions which then asks us to accept what is in that moment.
Gentle Flow/Yin yoga is for everyone, both new and established yogis.

Bring a mat and wear comfortable yoga clothing.
